Intro to Archaeology
Every society has its origin story, its account of who we are. Origin stories address big questions about our identity and define our relationships with others. In Introduction to Archaeology, we delved into the human origin story by exploring the development of human society from the first steps of our hominin ancestors to the creation of agricultural villages, and on to the rise of state-level societies. In reviewing nearly six million years of human history, emphasis is placed on revolutions-those heightened periods of biological, technological, and social change.
Lecture 10.1
